Oops – someone at IBM didn’t use Google – IBM’s S3 video solution changes its name

IBM’s new’ish intelligent video surveillance solution, previously known as S3, is now Smart Surveillance Solution.  Evidently some company in Europe was already called S3.  But Steve Rowan, industry analyst from Retail Systems Research suggests a much cooler name. S(3)  S cubed.  But no one ever said IBM was gifted with cool product naming.

    You need that 3 in superscript, not subscript, if you want it to denote S cubed.
