I agree with your point that PSIM use will increase but that this may come more from traditional access/video vendors than the PSIM specific manufacturers.
I think the big issue for the PSIM specific manufacturers is their relative cost and complexity. Compared to the PSIM type functionalities in access/video systems, the PSIM providers are far more sophisticated but also far more expensive and complicated to deploy. Until PSIM vendors can close this gap, I think they will be niche players for very large-scale projects (http://ipvideomarket.info/report/psim_problems).
