When asked about his Blackberry password policy, one information security officer said, "We require an 8 character password (just like any other networked device up here), wipe after 10 attempts, and force it to lock after 15 minutes. But we do allow the users to make phone calls without unlocking the devices, which solved most of the initial complaints.  Although we still do have a few users who complain about the lock because "it makes it too hard to read email while driving", which possibly the worst reason I’ve ever heard.
